Dial-A-Jet is a patented Automatic
Jetting System for carburetor equipped engines. It provides increased
horsepower, torque, and consistency, with less fuel consumption. An
independent 5 – step adjustable device mounted to the outside of the
carb acts as a secondary main jet delivering pre – mixed air/fuel to
the engine. The unit operates off of engine vacuum and therefore is
self adjusting. Ideal for perfecting performance with easy rejetting
adjustments. Breaking up the main fuel circuit by adding Dial-A-Jets
mixes air with
fuel
externally (outside the carburetor) and starts to
pre atomizes(vaporizes) fuel even before it enters
the carburetor. Lowering
the main jet about two sizes in the carburetor of your Dial – A – Jet
equipped engine, allows your engine to operate at a slightly lean
condition.This is where Dial-A-Jet kicks in and works similar to a

Also keep in
mind a
smaller main jet reduces the size of fuel stream flowing into the
carburetor which makes it easier to mix with incoming air and
(vaporizes) creating better throttle response, fuel efficiency, longer
plug life, and broader power band of performance. The
different between Dial-A-Jet and carburetor fuel jets are that
Dial-A-Jet is an add – fuel – only system that senses your engines
demand for fuel and supplies a fuel amount appropriate to the engine
load. A carburetor
supplies fuel to an engine in proportion to the amount the throttle is
opened. It cannot add or subtract fuel as engine load increases or
decreases. This
enables the Dial – A – Jet to provide the correct amount of fuel the
instant your engine demands it. If
no demand for additional fuel is sensed, no fuel is added. Dial–A–Jet
automatically adjusts the jetting and compensate for changing
conditions in altitude, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure as
well as octane rating. In
extreme conditions, such as dramatic changes of altitude or
temperature, a simple turn of a dial (rich or lean) will restore
optimum performance.
This
external jet set works extremely well with one Dial–A–Jet for normal
road use, and two jets are used for high performance use or larger
cubic inch motors. We also have Dial–A–Jet kits to create
multiple jet fuel circuits for many other engine applications.
